Wagon Wheel Farm House at Explore Acadia Cottages

Host was very proactive with communication and sent lots of helpful information about the area in advance. The house was in a great location for our visit to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We also enjoyed nearby mini golf at Pirates Cove and ice cream at Udder Heaven.This was one of the most well provisioned homes we’ve rented in terms of kitchen items, toiletries, bathroom supplies, books and games. Beds were comfy and we enjoyed having space on the sun porch and the outdoor patio. The only negative for us was two upstairs bedrooms are not air conditioned, the AC was in the hallway and those rooms only had oscillating fans. We left their doors open and shades down during the day and the people in those rooms still found them too warm at night. Probably not an issue in typical Maine weather but it was for us, we ended up needing to buy more fans.Overall a great place to stay, and we’d go back during cooler weather in a heartbeat.

Great place to stay

We were so comfortable here with our 2 kiddos! We stayed for 4 nights and the home had every amenity we could ever need. The boys absolutely loved the reading nook with all the books, and the outdoor games. It was the perfect landing place for us after long hiking/exploring days.

This is a great property! Very clean and updated house with lots of extras. Host was extremely communicative and responsive to requests. Great location within minutes of bar harbor and Acadia. You will not go wrong with renting this home.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the wagon wheel cottage! It was comfortable and cozy, and had all the amenities needed for a family getaway! The beds were comfy, the bathrooms looked newly renovated, and we had room to hang out. It was close to the Acadia entrance, the Crooked Coffee shop (delicious), and only 10 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor. Thank you!!
