Sea Star Cottage #6 at Explore Acadia Cottages

Wife and I spent a long weekend at the Sea Star cottage and it was great. The cottages appear to be very new and are well appointed and comfortable. The check-in and check-out process was very easy and the hostess communicated very clearly (instructions and local recommendations). The location is a perfect distance from the chaos of downtown Bar Harbor while offering easy access to pretty much everything on MDI. We spent plenty of time on the eastern side of the island (in and around downtown Bar Harbor), but we also ventured to the central and western sides of the island for various activities and were very thankful for the easy (traffic-free) routes the cottage's location afforded. Don't miss the trail that goes from the back of the property down to Hadley Point. It is a really great experience and a great way to begin or end a busy day in Acadia! We'll definitely be back!

Great cottage in a nice location, easy to Acadia National Forest and Bar Harbor. Very clean and well stocked, with a nice screened porch for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the morning or an alcoholic beverage in the evening. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

The cottage is terrific! Very well equipped, comfortable beds, gracious host! I wish our other accommodations had been as nice! Very close to Acadia National Park. Sadly, our weather was not conducive to what we had planned for our quick trip, but at least we had a nice place to lay our heads and relax! Note that a lot of restaurants close down for the season mid October and the buses stop running in the park as well. Thoroughly enjoyed the Sweet Pea restaurant that is literally across the street.
