Sea Star Cottage #6 at Explore Acadia Cottages

My husband and I enjoyed five nights in the cabin on our first trip to MDI. As advertised, it is about a ten minute drive to Bar Harbor which made it the perfect location for us. It is also walking distance to Hadley Point, a quiet and beautiful beach. We had a peaceful cabin with a full, well stocked kitchen, sitting area, comfortable bedroom, and private deck all for a price that was comparable to a room in a chain hotel down in Bar Harbor proper. The cabin was immaculate and well appointed, everything looked brand new. The host provided a binder with many recommendations for enjoying the area, we actually carried it with us in the car when we went out. Check out is at 10:00 AM and host requests stripping the beds, starting laundry, and removing all trash, similar to other rentals where we have stayed. We would definitely rebook here on a return trip.

We loved the Sea Star cottage #6. My husband and I were here for 5 nights in August to visit Acadia NP. The cottage was a perfect “base camp” for a couple. Plenty of space, great amenities, convenient location! All we needed to bring were our clothes and food, Explore Acadia Cottages provided towels, bed linens and the kitchen was well stocked with plates, pots and pans. Thank you for a wonderful, affordable experience!

Perfect place to stay. Close to everything, but far enough away for a quiet, peaceful stay. Highly recommend.
