Norumbega Cottage #9 at Explore Acadia Cottages

Once again, Explore Acadia cabin was comfortable and perfect in every way! Amazing host and truly organized.

We had a fantastic stay at Explore Acadia Cottages! The cottage was spotless — clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully stocked for a comfortable visit. The location couldn’t be better — just a short drive to both Bar Harbor and multiple entrances to Acadia National Park, making it the perfect home base for exploring the area. The hosts were incredibly helpful and provided great literature and maps about local attractions, trails, and restaurants, which really enhanced our experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Mount Desert Island!

Quiet place. Ideal location with a vicinity that offers plenty of food options. Well maintained outdoors. New cottages are very tidy and all you can imagine is available (kitchen supplies for baking, cooking, spices, dishwashing with tablets included as well as washing machine and dryer with washing tablets included). Not to forget is the outdoor BBQ (Weber with gas and supplies). The short contact with the operating family Sara & Davin was nice. At least we can only recommend this stay. Our family of 4 enjoyed this cozy cottage. We enjoyed the dishwasher, fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, campfire, board games, clean.

We enjoyed our stay at Explore Acadia so much! Even though it rained the majority of our weekend, the cabin was perfect. We really enjoyed the sounds of the rain on the metal roof and sitting on the screened in porch. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking or take out and the light wood kept it bright and cheerful. It was conveniently located to the park and shops, and even though we didn’t get a chance to hike the path to the beach, we drove down and it was a wonderful spot.
